Section 34-109 of the Lafourche Parish Code of Ordinances states that Fire District <br /> "shall comprise and embrace all of that territory within the present boundaries of parish council <br /> Ward 4 and 9 of Lafourche Parish, as they existed. on May 13, 1953[j" `his ordinance also states, <br /> "The domicile of[Fire District ] is hereby designated as the Lockport Volunteer Fire Department <br /> Central Station in the Town of Lockport, Louisiana, which domicile 1s within the corporate limits <br /> of the district." <br /> 4. <br /> Fire District 2 Board President Eric Benoit and LVFC President Wayne Bourgeois stated <br /> that Fire District 2 does not employ its own firefighters. L FUs volunteer firef ght rs performs <br /> the fire protection, emergency, and medical services within the territorial boundaries of Fire <br /> District 2. <br /> 5. <br /> LVFC does not own firefighting equipment or vehicles. LVFC uses equipment and fire <br /> trucks owned and maintained by Fire District 2. Fire District 2 pays LVFC a monthly "rent" of <br /> $1,200.00 to store its equipment at I.F 's six stations. Fire District 2 holds insurance policies on <br /> all LF 's properties and buildings. <br /> I . <br /> ALLEGATIONS <br /> 1. <br /> Armand Rutin, Jr. ("Mr. .utin" has been a member of LVFC since 1992. Mr. Rutin was <br /> first elected as L F 's Fire Chief by the general membership of L F in September 2012.
