(LPB). <br /> FACTS PROVIDED <br /> You stated that you contracted to write an article for 64 Parishes, a Louisiana magazine produced <br /> by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, a registered private non-profit. The article <br /> summarized your experience as a journalist writing and recording LPB's digital-first series Safe <br /> Haven: Louisiana's Green Book. You did not use any proprietary information from your work <br /> with Safe Haven: Louisiana's Green Book. However, you summarized the content from Safe <br /> Haven: Louisiana's Green Book. You are currently employed with LBP to anchor and produce <br /> Louisiana's The State We're In, a state wide news broadcast that airs weekly on LPB. <br /> LAW <br /> La. R.S. 42:1111C(1)(a) prohibits a public servant from receiving any thing of economic value <br /> for any service, the subject matter of which is devoted substantially to the responsibilities, <br /> programs, or operations of the agency of the public servant and in which the public servant has <br /> participated. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1102(19)defines"public servant"to mean a public employee or an elected official. <br /> La.
