In connection with his request that the Board waive the $2,000 and $780 late fee assessed for the late filing of reports, Mr. Burns states that he timely filed his 2011 Supplemental report on February 15, 2012 and that the report filed on February 28, 2013, was an amendment to the report filed in 2012.
Confirmation report reflects that a 30-page report was filed by Mr. Burns on February 15, 2012. However, La. R.S. 18:1495(C) provides that District office candidates are required to file their reports through the Leaders System.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty as provided in R.S.42:1157 for each day until such report is filed.
