Advisory opinion request as to whether Mr. C.J. Christ, a Board member on the Terrebonne Parish Veteran's Memorial District, may do business with the Regional Military Museum Foundation and the Terrebonne Parish Veteran's Memorial District. |

Mr. Christ is President and CEO of the Regional Military Museum a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Mr. Christ is also a Board member of the Terrebonne Parish Veteran's Memorial District. Mr. Christ owns a storage facility adjacent to the Veteran's Memorial District property, and has room to store some military jeeps that the museum owns. The Veteran's Memorial District will pay the Museum fifty dollars per month for storage. Because his rates are below what would normally be charged elsewhere Mr.Christ seeks the advice of the Board of Ethics as to the propriety of such a transaction.

Section 1113B of the Code states that no appointed member of a board or commission shall bid on or enter into or be in any way interested in any contract, subcontract, or other transaction which is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such appointed member.
