RE:
Request that the Board waive the $600 campaign finance late fee assessed against Hillery Godfred Johnson, a candidate for Councilman, Metro District 2, in the November 6, 2011 election, whose Supplemental campaign finance disclosure report was filed 35 days late.
Facts:
In connection with the request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Barbara S. Johnson on behalf of Hillery Johnson states that she was helping Mr. Johnson complete his reports. This was her first time working with campaign reports and after reading the instructions for a supplemental report she concluded that since he did not win the election and there was no monies left in the campaign account that he did not have to file. The report was filed after they received notification that the report was due. This was the candidate's second campaign.
