Ms. Williams filed her lobbyist expenditure report that was due by May 28, 2013, 1 day late on May 29, 2013. She was assessed a late fee of $50. Ms. Williams states that in the month of May she received a promotion and this required her to relocate her office, hire new staff, box her files, and during such time her computer was moved and reprogrammed, erasing her automatic calendar reminders. Further, her mother was hospitalized on two occasions in April and she was preparing for her son's Graduation in May.

La.R.S.24:55A. Each lobbyist registered under the provisions of this Part shall file with the board, in the mannerprovided in this Section, a report of all expenditures incurred for the purpose of lobbying.
La.R.S.24:58D Any person required to register and who fails to timely register and any person who fails to timely file any report required by this Part shall be assessed, pursuant to R.S. 42:1157, a late fee of fifty dollars per day.
