Mr. Yorsch filed his lobbyist expenditure report that was due by May 28, 2013, 1 day late on May 29, 2013. He was assessed a late fee of $50. Mr. Yorsch states although he knows they're a courtesy, he had always relied on the reminders sent from our office to file reports. He didn't receive a reminder for the April reports and he missed the date but immediately filed when he received the Notice of Failure to File.

La.R.S.33:9666A and 24:55A state Each lobbyist registered under the provisions of this Part shall file with the board, in the manner provided in this Section, a report of all expenditures incurred for the purpose of lobbying.
La.R.S.33:9668D and 24:58D Any person required to register and who fails to timely register and any person who fails to timely file any report required by this Part shall be assessed, pursuant to R.S. 42:1157, a late fee of fifty dollars per day.
