Lori Lamm-Williams is currently a Denham Springs City Council member and is interested in applying for a job as the Director of Parks and Recreation of Denham Springs (PARDS). The seven member board of directors for PARDS is appointed by and serves at the will of the Livingston Parish Council. The Livingston Parish Council oversees PARDS director, assists in the budget and financial operations, and establishes rules and regulations that govern the parks. The City of Denham Springs and PARDS are two separate entities that are not associated with each other in any way. There are no exchanges of monies, shared properties, contributions, or cooperative agreements between the two entities. PARDS is strictly funded by ad valorem taxes and the money it generates from its own programs.

La. R.S. 42:1113 prohibits public servants, their immediate family members, or legal entities in which they have a controlling interest, from entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
