RE:
Request the Board waive the $1,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Greg Gaubert, a candidate for Public Service Commission, District 2, in the November 6, 2012 election, whose EDE-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 10 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fees assessed for the late filing of the report,Greg Gaubert states that he was surprised when he received a letter saying he owed $1,000 late fee. One June 19, 2013 he sent a check for $1,000 thinking he was paid in full, but he was unaware of the additional late fee for the late filing of EDE-P Report.

He states that if he had known the confusion and time necessary to serve our great state, he would certainly have reconsidered running for office. He says his family runs a small, struggling hotel and this fine would produce a great hardship which he cannot endure. He states his take home pay almost qualifies him for governmental assistance in order to just meet the needs of his family.

He asks that the board take into consideration his plea and eliminate him from any further financial demands from our office.
