RE:
Request the Board waive the $1,400 campaign finance late fee assessed against Eugene J. Green Jr. a candidate for Councilman at Large, Orleans Parish, in the February 1, 2014 election, whose 180-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 14 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fees assessed for the late filing of the reports, Eugene Green states that he recognizes that he reported in his annual report filed in early 2013 a declaration that he was a future candidate for a major office. However he states it is important to note that between January 1 and July 26, 2013, he held open the possibility of qualifying for election to a district council seat, action which would not have required the filing of a 180-P.

He states that a review of the report will show that he raised no money from January 1 through July 26, 2013. He says his campaign had no major office activity during that time period. He would appreciate the Board's consideration of this request for a waiver. he says he is aware of all future reports required as part of the election cycle and he will endeavor to provide these reports to the board in a timely manner.
