RE:
Request that the Board waive the $600 and $800 campaign finance late fees assessed against Demetrie Ford, a candidate for Judge, Traffic Court, Division D, Orleans Parish in the October 19, 2013, whose 30-P and EDE-P campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 6 and 8 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $600 and $800 late fees assessed for the late filings of a 30-P and EDE-P campaign finance reports, Bruce Thornton on behalf of Demetrie Ford states as the preparer of the reports of Demetrie Ford's campaign, he has requested a waiver of all fees assessed. He says the reason he is requesting is simple. He states that there was nothing in the packet given to him that referenced the report had to be filed electronically. The information received was simple to understand and to complete, but nothing stating to electronically file the report. He says he could understand if no report was received by the Board at all, however a report was mailed and received on a timely basis per the packet information he received.
