Reconsideration of a request that the Board waive the $500 in late fees (reduced from $1,500) assessed against lobbyist Joshua Borill for the failure to timely file a Supplemental Registration.
Facts:
Mr. Borril indicates that this was a clerical oversight as to why he reported the the End Date of Representation of his Firm's client, Flightline, late and not an attempt to evade responsibility. The error was immediately corrected and filed upon discovery. Safeguards have been internally implemented to avoid any possibility of a reoccurrence of this type of error, and he apologizes. He request that the board reconsider the amount assessed and revise the fee to an amount that is more tailored to the nature of the violation.

Law:
La. R.S. 24:53F(1), La. R.S. 49:74D(1), and La. R.S. 33:9664D(1) Within ten days of termination of a registrant's employment or representation of any person,
the registrant shall file a supplemental registration acknowledging the termination of his employment or representation with the board.
La. R.S. 24:58D(1), La. R.S. 49:78D(1), and La. R.S. 33:9666D(1) Any person required to register and who fails to timely register and any person who fails to timely file any report required by this Part shall be assessed, pursuant to R.S. 42:1157, a late fee of fifty dollars per day.
