Request that the Board waive the $700 campaign finance late fee assessed against Vincent Culotta, Jr., a candidate for Coroner, Orleans Parish in the February 1, 2014 election, whose Special campaign finance disclosure report was filed 7 days late. |
|
In connection with her request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Ms. Anne Wolfe Nicolay, CPA for Vincent Culotta, Jr. states that upon realizing their failure to comply with the state regulations regarding contributions to the campaign in excess of $1,000 they promptly reported to the board. She says it is the candidates' first run for political office. She says although ignorance of the regulations is not a valid excuse for not filing timely, they are requesting leniency in this matter. She says that they have made all attempts to report all contributions and expenditures since the time of the late filing and have had not other incidences of late filings.
