Roy Pontiff is the executive director of the Port of Iberia District Board of Commissioners. He will retire from his position as on August 31, 2014. There will be an interim executive director to fill the position he will vacate. He is seeking to be appointed to the District Board. In order to become a member of the District Board, Mr. Pontiff would have to submit an application to and be appointed by the Iberia Parish Council. Members of the District Board serve without compensation.

Section 1102(3) defines an agency head as the chief executive or administrative officer of an agency or any member of a board or commission who exercises supervision over the agency.
Section 1121A(1) states that no former agency head shall, for a period of two years following the termination of his public service as the head of such agency, assist another person, for compensation, in a transaction, or in an appearance in connection with a transaction, involving that agency or render any service on a contractual basis for such agency.
