Donna Washington, Melvin Scott, Chris Burrell, Kristina Stancil, Ronnie Robertson, Angela Robertson, Aretha Celestine, Janine Calder, Sylvester Spears were all sworn in as board members of the Coalition and subsequently resigned from the Coalition. The Coalition does not receive and public funding or grants. It receives money through private donations and fund-raising activities.
The Coalition was not statutorily created. The goal of the Coalition is to offer youth something besides gang related activity.

Section 1121A(2) No former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years following the termination of his public service on such board or commission, contract with, be employed in any capacity by, or be appointed to any position by that board or commission.
Section 1102(18)(a)(iii) A "public employee" means anyone, whether compensated or not who is engaged in the performance of a governmental function.
