Advisory opinion request regarding potential action by the liaison for Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East and a retained law firm.
Facts:
A former board member of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East (Authority) acted as the liaison between the Authority and a retained law firm.
Law:
1121A(2) states that no former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years following the termination of his public service on such board or commission, contract with, be employed in any capacity by, or be appointed to any position by that board or commission.
Recommendations:
Allow the withdrawal of the advisory opinion request.
