In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the reports, Adam Eitmann, Chairman states that both himself and PAC Treasurer, Eric Fogelsong, were in the process of moving away from Baton Rouge and wrapping up campaign work in Louisiana when the oversight took place. He states that this infraction was the first with the Louisiana Ethics Board and they are asking that the Board revisit the case and consider lowering the fines imposed upon the PAC. The PAC was dissolved in late 2011, its bank account closed, and it is no longer active in Louisiana or any other state. These past two years have also seen a decrease in income for both Mr. Eitmann and Mr. Fogelsong and a fine of $6,000 would present a significant financial hardship to them.
