Dodi Eubanks is the Union Parish Clerk of Court. She belongs to the Union Parish Board of Election Supervisors and works with the Secretary of State on elections. Her duties include receiving instructions from the Secretary of State, using their computer software to enter data, sealing and checking machines, and communicating with the mechanics to resolve problems. Ms. Eubanks' husband, Paul Eubanks, is considering taking a job as an election warehouse mechanic for Union Parish and a connecting parish. The mechanics are employed, supervised and paid a salary or hourly wage solely by the Louisiana Secretary of State.

La. R.S. 42:1113 prohibits public servants, their immediate family member, or legal entities in which they have a controlling interest, from entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
