Section 1112A of the Code states that no public servant shall participate in a transaction in which he has a personal substantial economic interest of which he may be reasonably expected to know involving the governmental entity.
Section 1111C(2)(D) prohibits a legal entity which a public servant exercises control from receiving anything of economic value for consideration of services rendered or to be rendered unless such services are neither performed for not compensated by any person from whom such public servant would be prohibited by R.S. 42: 1115(A)(1) or (B) from receiving a gift.
Section 1121A(1) of the Code states that no former agency head shall, for a period of two years following the termination of his public service as the head of such agency, assist another person, for compensation, in a transaction, or in an appearance in connection with a transaction, involving that agency or render any service on a contractual basis to or for such agency.
Section 1102(3) of the Code defines an agency head as the chief executive or administrative officer of an agency or any member of a board or commission who exercises supervision over the agency.
