RE:
Request that the Board waive the $100 campaign finance late fee assessed against Lloyd J. Medley Jr., a candidate for Judge, Civil District Court, Orleans Parish, in the November 4, 2014 election, whose 180-P Report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Dallas Jones, report preparer for Lloyd J. Medley Jr. states that he experienced technical difficulty with the submission of the report. He said it appears that the system was not taking corrections. He has attached a copy of the email he received while attempting to submit the report at 8:49 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2014, indicating the filing was rejected. He says he spoke to the technical department the next day on May 9, 2014 and was finally able to submit the report at 8:22 a.m. He says in light of the attached information and Judge Lloyd Medley's history of timely filing he respectfully request a waiver of the late fee assessment.
