Request that the Board waive the $2,500 campaign finance late fee assessed against Raymond S. Childress, a candidate for District Judge, 22nd JDC, St. Tammany Parish, in the November 4, 2014 election whose 2013 Annual Report was filed 179 days late. |
|
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Raymond Childress states that in talking with his treasurer, Curt Keay, regarding the Annual Report, he indicated that he was confused by the Schedule of Reporting and Filing Dates specifically the column "Report Due By:" for the Annual Report. He now recognizes that his false impression of No. 1 of the schedule regarding the 180-P is the cause of the error. The 180-P was going to be the first report of 2014 after he filed a 2013 Annual report. However, the Annual report he filed was for the 2008 election. 100% of all donations and expenses were detailed on the 5/8/14 180-P report.
