Request that the Board waive the $300 campaign finance late fee assessed against Brigid Collins, a candidate for Judge, Criminal District Court, Orleans Parish, in the November 4, 2014 election whose 30-P Report was filed 3 days late. |
|
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Shannon Bourgeois, report preparer for Brigid Collins states that she can assure the Board that Ms. Collins' campaign did not intentionally file the campaign finance disclosure report late.
Ms. Collins is a first time candidate who withdrew from the race for Judge/Criminal District Court, Section D prior to the report filing deadline. As such, she states they were unaware that a campaign finance report would be due after she was no longer in the race for judge.
