RE:
Request that the Board waive the $300 campaign finance late fee assessed against Charles "Obie" O'Brien a candidate for Member of School Board, District 8, East Baton Rouge Parish in the November 4, 2014 election whose 30-P Report was filed 5 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Charles O'Brien states that he was surprised to receive a Notice of Delinquency for his 30-P. He was under the belief and discussed with Mr. Gene Dawson at the LA Board of Ethics office that if no change to original 30-P form, no refile form needed. Due to no changes since the first filing form, he did not file the 30-P form.
