Kevin Veillon is a member of the Evangeline Parish Police Jury (Police Jury).
The Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Disposal Commission (Commission) was created by Act 710 of the 1984 Legislative Session as a political subdivision of the state. While it is responsible for appointing 6 of the 13 members to the Commission, the Police Jury does not provide any funding to, or oversight of, the Commission.
In the event that he is hired as the Executive Director, Mr. Veillon intends to resign from his position on the Police Jury.
