In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Russell Saluto states that he takes the responsibility for overlooking the due date for the 30-P, but once he received the Notice of Delinquency letter on October 9, 2014, he completed the report immediately. In a rush to get the report out, he failed to realize that the report was to be submitted online. He received his original report back on October 21, 2014 with a letter explaining that it was required to be filed online. He faxed over the electronic filing affidavit on October 22, 2014 to get his account log in information. He submitted his report as soon as he was able to get his account log in information which was October 23, 2014.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
