RE:
Request that the Board waive the $540 campaign finance late fee assessed against Ronnie McMillin, a candidate for District Judge, 7th Judicial District Court in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 9 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the reports, Ronnie McMillin stated that he qualified with an hour to spare because he was late making his decision to run for judge without knowing if Judge Leo Booth would seek re-election.

Shortly after qualifying, Mr. McMillin's wife had abdominal surgery and he had to care for her and their five young children. He states that he erroneously put the wrong alert date on his calendar and filed the report as soon as he discovered it was past due.
