Ms. Brown is a transition coordinator for the Caddo Parish Department of Juvenile Services (CPDJS). Her function in this position focuses on coordinating the transition of juveniles released from the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center (Detention Center) back to their home school upon release.
Part of her duties include transferring education records to the district home schools, coordinating with the CPSB Attendance Department for smooth transition, coordinating with the CPSB Special Education Department and other agencies to identify, evaluate and place students with disabilities. She must be available to meet with the CPSB and Detention Center. She is an independent contractor with the parish.

La. R.S. 42:1111E(1) provides that no public servant, and no legal entity of which such public servant is an officer, director, trustee, partner, or employee, or in which such public servant has a substantial economic interest, shall receive or agree to receive any thing of economic value for assisting a person in a transaction, or in an appearance in connection with a transaction, with the agency of such public servant.
