Mary Antoon is the Single Family Program Manager for LHFA. She is requesting an opinion as to whether she may serve on the Board of the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association (LMLA). The LMLA is a statewide organization devoted exclusively to the field of mortgage and real estate finance. The Association actively promotes the interests of the mortgage lending industry through the work of its committee system, Board of Governors and direct involvement in the community. Through the collective voice of the association, LMLA is dedicated to improving business operating conditions and to solving industry-wide problems. She states that she will not receive any compensation for her service on the Board.

Section 1112B(3) prohibits a public servant from participating in a transaction involving the governmental entity and any person of which he is an officer, director, trustee, partner, or employee.
