RE:
Request that the Board waive the $300 campaign finance late fee assessed against Marie Williams, a candidate for Judge, Second City Court, City of New Orleans, Orleans Parish in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 3 days late.
Facts:
In connection with her request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the reports Marie Williams states that she filed late because her treasurer did not file timely, although she reminded him. She also stated that she is going through a divorce and her husband has blocked access to her home and bank accounts. As such she and her children are living with and receiving financial help from her parents, but they are elderly and cannot afford to give her $300 in fees.
