RE:
Appearance in connection with a request that the Board waive the $1,380 campaign finance late fee assessed against Anthony Nelson, a candidate for School Board, District 7, City of Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 23 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the 10-P report, Anthony Nelson states that the report was created before the deadline and he believed it had been submitted, but later discovered it had only been saved. He states that did not receive the late notice until a month after the notice was dated. Had his campaign known the form had been saved and not submitted, the documents could have been submitted earlier.

Mr. Nelson states that he is a 25 year old college student and paying the fine would require significant financial assistance that he doesn't have.
