Lee Faulk, the agency head of the Road and Bridge Department for Cameron Parish, plans to retire in February 2016. Cassandra Duhon, the daughter of Lee Faulk, currently works in the Office of Emergency Preparedness in Cameron Parish and is being considered for the position of Secretary in the Road and Bridge Department after her father retires. Emily Mock, the current Secretary, will replace Lee Faulk as agency head after his retirement and would like to begin training Ms. Duhon right away for the available position in the Road and Bridge Department. While training in the Road and Bridge Department, Ms. Duhon would be supervised and trained by Ms. Mock and would continue to work and be paid by the Office of Emergency Preparedness. Ms. Duhon could be transferred to the Road and Bridge Department before her father retires if the Ethics Code does not prohibit the transfer.

La. R.S. 42:1119A prohibits an immediate family member of an agency head from being employed by his agency.
La. R.S. 42:1102(3) defines "agency head" as the chief executive or administrative officer of an agency.
