RE:
Request that the Board waive the $400 campaign finance late fee assessed against William Elmore, a candidate for May, City of Ruston, Lincoln Parish in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose EDE-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 10 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, William Elmore states that his unpaid volunteer treasurer mistakenly believed all of the necessary paperwork was filed timely by someone in his office, but later discovered the person assigned to file the paperwork was out of the office sick with the flu and the report was not filed. Mr. Elmore further requests this waiver because he used a significant amount of personal funds on the campaign.
