Mr. Fontenot was elected alderman for the City of Rayne on December 6, 2014. He is an employee of Dwight Andrus Insurance with no ownership interest in the company. He has previously written insurance covering flag football, volleyball, basketball, softball, and baseball for the city. He also secure bonds for city employees.

La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) prohibits a public servant or immediate family member from bidding on or entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) prohibits a public servant from receiving any thing of economic value for or in consideration of services rendered or to be rendered to a person who has or is seeking to have a contractual, business, or financial relationship with your agency.
