Advisory opinion request regarding whether the University of New Orleans could use the grant writing services of Lifesize, free of charge, for a H-1B Technical Skills Grant application or other suitable grant applications, if Lifesize were to bid on the underlying components within the application.
Facts:
Lifesize previously offered grant-writing services to universities in an efforts that included but was not limited to finding grant funding for the services they offer. The type of information that would be included in the process would be a listing of equipment as well as other technical information to justify the budget requested in the grant application. Their work would also include cost figures that are needed as part of the budget worksheet for the grant. These services would be performed for free. Lifesize would also be a potential bidder on the different components of the equipment contained in the application if the grant was accepted. Ms. Amsberryaugier states that Lifesize no longer offers these granting writing services and the issue has become moot.
Comments:
A withdrawal of the advisory opinion has been submitted.
Recommendations:
Accept the withdrawal of the advisory opinion request.
