West Carroll Parish Schools Superintendent Richard Strong requested an advisory opinion regarding whether the Ethics Code prohibits the West Carroll School System from hiring Mike Gammill to serve as the Principal for Oak Grove High School while his brother Gene Gammill serves as a member of the West Carroll School Board.
Superintendent Strong provided that Mike Gammill is a retired teacher and certified principal. He further stated that Mike Gammill is not currently employed by Oak Grove High School. Additionally he provided that Oak Grove High School is under the supervision of the West Carroll Parish School Board.
