RE:
Request that the Board waive the $550 in campaign finance late fees assessed against Wendy Wilson Billiot, a candidate for School Board Member/District 7, Terrebonne Parish in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 17 days late.
Facts:
In connection with her request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Wendy Wilson Billiot states that the late filing was an oversight, not an intentional noncompliance. Ms. Billiot is the caregiver for her disabled husband and disabled son. She barely raised enough money to pay campaign costs, let alone this fine. She begs for the Board's mercy in considering her waiver request, or in the alternative, asks the Board to consider a reduction of the fee.
