Mr. Duplantis has been invited to serve as a non-compensated member of the Aviation Board. The Aviation Board's primary role is to make recommendations to Louisiana Tech's Professional Aviation Department on matters related to curriculum, equipment, training, facilities, etc.
Mr. Duplantis is currently employed by the DOTD as an aviation program manager. His job duties include planning and obtaining program funding from the Transportation Trust Fund for capital improvement projects at public-use airports throughout the state. This includes the Ruston Regional Airport which Louisiana Tech utilizes as its base of operations for flight training. Mr. Duplantis has previously planned or organized funds for the Ruston Regional Airport through his position with the DOTD.
