Request that the Board waive the $50 late fee assessed against Lobbyist Claudia Rodas for the late filing of an Expenditure Report. |

Mrs. Rodas states she received a notice on June 2, 2015 that a penalty fee had been assessed in the amount of $50 for the late filing of her May expenditure report. She is requesting a waiver because this is her first year registering to lobby in Louisiana and she was unaware of the two separate monthly filings for local and state expenditures. She registered to lobby a local entity in January of 2015. She filled out the paperwork in early April but did not officially file to lobby at the state level until May 15, 2015. At that time she backdated the application to April 20, 2015. Simultaneously she filed the May expenditure local lobbying report. On May 18, she received a confirmation email for her state lobbying application. She receieved an email notice for the first time regarding late filing for state expenditure report only on May 27, 2015 and promptly completed the mandatory report.
