Janice Breaux is the office manager and agency head for the Crowley Office of Motor Vehicles, Region 3. Her cousin, Therese Richard, would like to transfer from her position with the Lafayette Office of Motor Vehicles, Region 3 to the Crowley Office of Motor Vehicles if a position becomes available.

La. R.S. 42:1119A provides that no member of the immediate family of an agency head shall be employed by his agency.
La. R.S. 42:1102(3) provides that an agency head is as an administrative officer of an agency who exercises supervision over the agency.
La. R.S. 42:1102(13) defines an immediate family member as public servants' children, the spouses of her children, her brothers and their spouses, her sisters and their spouses, her parents, her spouse, and the parents of her spouse.
