Request that the board waive the following campaign finance late fees assessed against John Perry Gallow, a candidate for Opelousas Chief of Police in the November 4, 2014 election: $1,000 for the EDE-P report that was filed 108 days late, $1,000 for the 10-G report that was filed 96 days late, $1,000 for the EDE-G report that was filed 76 days late, and the 40-G report that was filed 46 days late. |

In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, John Perry Gallow states that he was informed by his campaign manager, John Hadley, that his EDE-P, 10-G, EDE-G and 40-G report had been completed and submitted timely. He will do all within his power to rectify the matter and asks for assistance in waiving these fees.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
