RE:
Request that the board waive the $200 campaign finance late fee assessed against Donald C. Hodge, Jr., a candidate for Commissioner of Insurance in the October 22, 2011 election, whose 2014 Supplemental report was filed 2 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Donald C. Hodge, Jr. states that on the day the report was due, he contacted the Ethics Board because he had software issues. On that evening, he emailed the IT Department as it was still not working. Staff from the IT Department emailed him the next day and he went by the office, but the person was not there at the time. IT staff called him the next day and helped him re-install the software on the computer to file the report.
