RE:
Request that the board waive the $420 campaign finance late fee assessed against Lala Brittain Sylvester, a candidate for District Court Judge, 10th JDC, in the November 4, 2014 election, whose 2014 Supplemental report was filed 7 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Lala Brittain Sylvester states that person that handles the paperwork and reports for her campaign completed and thought that she submitted the 2014 supplemental report on February 17, 2015, the day before the report was due. It was not until she received a notice from the Ethics Board that she realized that the report had not been submitted properly. She spoke with the IT Department and it was confirmed that the report had been created and not properly submitted.
