Bunkie General Hospital owns a building and lot that is leased to Bio-Medical Applications of Louisiana, Inc. Bunkie General Hospital has no interest, other than being the landlord, in the kidney dialysis center that is operated within this building. The Board of Commissioners of Bunkie General Hospital and the Avoyelles Parish Police Jury have approved the decision to sell this building and lot.
Dr. Srivastava is an employee and Chief of Staff for Bunkie General Hospital. He and his wife own a combined 24% interest in Bunkie Dialysis, LLC. Bunkie Dialysis would like to bid on the building and lot owned by the hospital.

La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) prohibits a public servant or immediate family member from bidding on or entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
La. R.S. 42:1102(8) as any ownership interest in any legal entity or beneficial interest in a trust, held by or on behalf of an individual or a member of his immediate family, either individually or collectively, which exceeds twenty-five percent of that legal entity.
