Dr. Sharon Pugh, since December 13, 2013, has served as a member of the Central Louisiana Human Services District. In May 2015, she was offered the opportunity to work as an independent contractor as a Medical Psychologist at Caring Choices, an out-patient mental health center. The contract would be with the Central Louisiana Human Services District, which owns and operates the Caring Choice out-patient mental health center.

La. R.S. 42:1121A(2) provides that no former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years following the termination of his public service on such board or commission, contract with, be employed in any capacity by, or be appointed to any position by that board or commission.
