RE:
Request that the board waive the $480 campaign finance late fee assessed against John D. Crigler, a candidate for District Court Judge, 6th JDC, in the November 4, 2014 election, whose 2014 Supplemental report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, John D. Crigler states that he filed a report on September 30, 2014 designating it as his final report showing disbursements of $605 and a balance of $23,106.66.When he received a letter concerning the Leaders 2.32 software phase-out he called the office and asked for assistance in transferring data to the web based system. He misunderstood staff to say that he did not need to file future reports because he was unopposed and did not raise money for future elections. He filed the report the same day that he learned that he had made a mistake.
