| Advisory opinion requesting clarification of an advisory opinion issued in Docket No. 2013-466 regarding the employment of Maxie Monroe, a member of the Jackson Parish Police Jury, with the Jackson Parish Correctional Facility. |

The Board rendered an advisory opinion to Ms. Monroe advising that she was not prohibited from being employed with the Jackson Parish Correctional Facility following the termination of her employment with the Jonesboro Police Department, which was disbanded, and while she served as a member of the Jackson Parish Police Jury. Her request stated that the Jackson Parish Correctional Facility receives funding from the Police Jury for the housing of inmates. She also stated that the correctional facility was not under the supervision of the Jackson Parish Police Jury.
Ms. Monroe is requesting clarification of this opinion providing information that the Jackson Parish Correctional Facility is operated by the Jackson Parish Sheriff and that all guards at the facility are sworn in as officers of the facility.
