Request that the Board waive the $150 late fee assessed against Charles Melancon for failure to timely file an Expenditure Report. |
|
Mr. Melancon states that he received a notice of late filing for his August report, which indeed was filed late. His wife files the reports for him and she has been in the process of moving her 98 year old mother, Grace Clark, from Lexington, KY, to St. James Place in Baton Rouge. It has been a very hectic and traumatic time and she thought she had filed the report. If you check the records, they will reflect that she usually files the reports promptly. The deadline was Friday and the report was filed Monday as soon as she realized the error. Mr. Melancon requests that under the circumstances, that either the penalty either be waived or reduced to one business day.
