RE:
Request that the board waive the $800 campaign finance late fee assessed against Mark Doherty, a candidate for Juvenile Court Judge, Section F, Orleans Parish, in the November 4, 2014 election, whose 2014 Supplemental report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Judge Mark Doherty states that he was unopposed in the November 4, 2014 election. He did not realize that he owed the 2014 supplemental report because on October 6, 2014 he filed his 30-P report as his final report for the election. On that report he checked the box "unopposed" which indicated that it would be his final report if this box were checked. He also did not receive a notice from the Board that a supplemental report was due by February 18, 2015. Judge Doherty states that he was sent a notice that a supplemental report was due in 1999 and that he filed his report timely that year.
