The Southern Yacht Club is a private, members-only, club. Alva See is a member of the Southern Yacht Club. Mr. See is not a member of the governing board nor does he hold an officer position. In 1979, the City of New Orleans created the New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor Management Corporation. The New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor Management Corporation is not affiliated with the Southern Yacht Club. The Southern Yacht Club is not a tenant of the New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor Management Corporation.
