Request that the Board waive the $80, $40, and $320 campaign finance late fees assessed against Jevella Williamsom, a candidate for Ascension Parish School Board, District 1 in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose 10-G report was filed 2 days late, EDE-G was filed 1 day late, and 40-G report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Jevella Williamson states that the paperwork that she received was overwhelming and she did not have a clear understanding of all of the procedures. She states that she has been an educator for 35 years and asks that the Board waive the late fees.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
Recommendations:
Suspend all based on future compliance for the 10-G and EDE-G reports.

Decline to waive for the 40-G report.
